I started going to Sue in January 2009. I wanted to shave off a few pounds and streghten my muscles because I was suffering from a hip injury from the previous August which preventing me from running and playing sports.
She helped me flatten my abs, tone my arms, and strengthen my hips so that I was able to resume my regular workout routine! Not only that, but my cardio improved tremendously and my backside is one that causes envy amoungst my friends!

I have been training with Island Summit since August, 2009. Not only have I seen the benefit in my weight (down 13 pounds) but in my physical strength as well. "I just wanted to let you know that his weekend I accomplished two things that I would have not been able to do prior to meeting you and coming to your classes. On Saturday I bought a bike and my husband (a very avid mountain biker and trail runner) and I rode from our home in Departure Bay to Harewood to watch my friend in the torch relay. While riding up some of the steep sections of the route my legs were burning and I wanted to get off my bike and walk but in the back of my head I heard you say, “keep going ladies, only 30 more seconds!” and that kept me on my bike and pushed me through!! On Sunday morning I got up at 5:15 and headed out with my friend (a marathon runner) and did a walk/run along the torch route to watch a couple more friends who were doing the relay. Again, I heard your voice while I was running.
I know that just a few short months ago I wouldn’t have even tried to do either of these things. But by taking your classes, my fitness level has improved and my increased self-confidence in what I can do has enabled me to get out and be more active. So, for this I thank you!!" – Jane
